This was not very soft when I first put it on but it softened up a LOT with the first washing. I think over time it will get better and better. I am 5'7" and 130 lbs. Ordered a large because my arms are really long and I hate it when the sleeves are too short. Luckily this fits perfectly. The zipper sticks a little and I am concerned that it won't work great over time, but for now it seems to be OK. I have an obsession with cashmere and this is my new favorite piece. I got it to replace a JCrew one that I had worn till the elbows rubbed through. This one is significantly less expensive that that one was new but feels similar in quality. Overall I am glad I got it.And for the very high price tag, I really needed to LOVE this sweater to keep it. I have been wearing cashmere sweaters almost exclusively for many years now. I have more expensive cashmere and less. I was searching for a black cashmere hoodie and was willing to splurge if I loved it. For me, this sweater does not meet expectations for the price. It is a very nice hoodie cashmere sweater that was flattering when I tried it on, but for me it is not worth close to $200. I did size up one size (I tend to be a large medium or a small large LOL if that makes sense), but after reading the reviews I ordered a XL. It fit perfectly, smooth and straight with no area too tight or too baggy. I probably would have kept it if it was half the price.i thought it was a little plain, but it was easy to add a touch of interest to the cuffs and hood by crocheting a narrow lacy edge.also, the kangaroo pockets are way too skimpy and my phone falls out every time. i think i will have to alter and crochet about 2 to 3" on the edge to make them useful.after wearing it with a tee shirt i found my skin itchy where it touched my skin was a little red, so i can only wear this over long sleeves, and am now using a fabric softener to see if that will help it be less itchy and more lofty.i paid full price for this and right after it arrived it went on sale for 30% off. i hadn't even had a chance to wear it yet! so i'm a little disappointed to have to work on something that i paid full price for. most vendors include a discount for future purchases, but not this vendor.Although it feels lightweight, it is so soft and warm. Having worn it in a cold climate for two weeks and then washing in cold water drying flat, I expected it to shrink but it didn’t and it hasn’t pulled either. Excellent value for money and I would recommend.I can't say enough good things about Jennie Liu. I have many of their sweaters and the quality, especially the softness, is incredible. They respond quickly to any questions or issues and resolve them right away. They will always be my first choice for cashmere. A word of caution, if you find a sweater that you love and you decide you want a companion piece like a hoodie or a cardigan of the same color, if you want an exact match be sure to order it in the same season as your original purchase. I have ordered companion pieces in the following year or two and they are not always an exact match because the dye lots may be slightly different from season to season. The colors will still complement each other but if an exact match is what you arer looking for, regardless of if it looks the the same on the website photograph, you may be disappointed.Be careful when you buy, i wanted black XL I for green M quality of cashmere not for the priceWhile this seems to be the about the same quality as the other two hoodies I purchased from Jennie Lui in the past year, it no longer has the two way zipper as indicated in the description and has a folded double thickness band at the bottom. Understand that items are tweaked from style year to style year, that said, please indicate that in product description.I usually wear a size 4, and ordered the small because I was concerned the xs would be too fitted. The small is a bit roomier than I wanted, but overall I'm pleased with the quality of cashmere and the quality of the workmanship
